Course Description: This course is a “Ministry – Approved School Bus Driver Improvement Course” that meets the requirements of applicants for a B or E class driver’s license. In this one day course, participants will discover legislative regulations and requirements, characteristics of a defensive bus driver, and steps and techniques in the development of defensive school bus drivers. This course is designed by the Ontario Safety League. The Driver’s Notebook contains case studies, driving tips and other useful information, in addition to the course material.

  • Understanding factors that would influence your ability to be a good defensive driver

Format Classroom: Interactive workshop with formal instruction, video and discussion.
Resources: Supplied: Driver’s Notebook, Participant’s manual, and handouts.
Evaluation: Full attendance, class participation, written and practical test for successful completion.
Duration: 8 Hours
Certification: Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive an approved MTO registered Certificate.
